We Are Helping You Find Success Through Football Trials

Feel Like It’s Time to Make a Change in Your Life, But Can’t Seem to Find a Right Path?

If you are aged over 18 (goalkeepers included), play in an academy or amateur or semi-pro football club, have the talent & will to work hard to rocket sky your career then our football trials in Greece for 2021 is the right path for you.

We offer trials at club’s first team, “shadow squads”, “development squads” or academy. No scouts. No trial tournaments. No one-day trials. No one-day trial games. No one-day training & selection. No such crap. You will train & play for at least a week with / against your future teammates.

With over 8 years experience in football trials we rest assure you, if you are a gifted & hard working footballer, we have a club waiting for you.

What Do We Offer in Our Football Trials?

Is Training Professional?

Absolutely Yes! You’ll take part in warm-up sessions and drills during or after the pre-season training WITH the interested club’s UEFA professional coaches & train once or twice a day in synthetic or natural grass, over the tryouts period.

Scouts Are Going To Attend My Football Trial?

Definitely NO! Your trial is DIRECT to the interested clubs & club’s UEFA Pro or UEFA A qualified coaches at club’s training facility in Greece

Do I Have to Pay for Football Trials?

Yes. We are not offering open or free football trials. Each trial has its own price depending on the nationality of the interested player & the trial duration. Your payment will cover your visa (if needed), living expenses & transportation within Greece

How Can I Earn From A Greek Club?

If you impress club’s coaches, then you’ll have a direct offer from the club. Expected professional monthly salary is over 750 euro while semi-pro and amateur monthly salary is over 300 euro.

Is Your Football Trials The Right Path For Me?

Not everyone is suited to becoming a professional footballer. If you are meant to make a real difference rather than being stuck in a 9-5 job & play amateur football with your friends then this football trial is for you. And for that, you need to start somewhere.

This is what our European football trials in Greece are about. We are offering you a road map & a path.

Can You Guarantee That I Will Get A Professional Football Contract?

We cannot guarantee to players or to their agents that his/her players will get a professional contract. Why?
Because none in the world can guarantee that a footballer is capable to play as a pro.

Will Any Professional Football Club Be Interested In Me?

We are not sending players to clubs just for training. It is pointless. ALL the clubs you will be training or playing with or against are interested to get players. Their crazy dream is to get the next CR7 for free and sell him 220m like Neymar. The right question is: are you the next football star? Do you have what it takes to enter professional football?
All clubs are interested in getting cheap players in all positions. You are a cheap player for them now. Never forget that.

Who Will Represent Me at the Football Tryout?

Idsoccer is NOT going to represent you. For us it’s not so much about convincing you to join us. It’s about us convincing ourselves that you worth our time and effort.
We have to be selective and pick our players based on attitude, ambition and ability. Our philosophy has always been to keep our player’s list small but filled with quality. In that way we can manage everyone equally and give everyone the attention they need in a professional working class environment.
But if you succeed in our trials we will have an eye on you and scout you for one year. Then, if you impress us, we will offer you a professional representation contract.

Let’s Talk Money. Is There Enough Money For Everyone?

Once a player is chosen by a club he will get at least full accommodation and a monthly salary. Usually more than 750 euro from a professional club and more than 300 euro from a semi-pro club, depending on his age, talent, CV, position in the game.
Additionally, for international players, clubs may pay their insurance & resident permit if any or both needed.

When Are We Going To Get Our Money Back?

The big question is how all the evolving parties: agents / sponsors / investors / guardians / players will earn some money. Well… you should be patient. We should be also patient.
We give some time to the football player to be pro while, in the meantime, is developing. Then the money will follow. May be not in his first professional contract. Football & other sports are high risk investments. Therefore, an agent without connections, a fraud agent, greediness, injuries, nonprofessional players & other small or big unexpected factors can easily ruin a player’s career & send all business plans to the waste basket.
No big money now. No big money after six months. May be some money next year. Be patient. With yourself & your goals.

Our Unique & Controversial Football Trials Approach

I strongly believe that by targeting potential players early, giving them exposure to different clubs & investing wisely in their development, I will get the pick of the crop of footballers, who will fuel the future success of our business.

In our era there has been an increasing emphasis in the use of science-based support systems offering a more holistic approach to the complex process of talent identification in football.

Therefore, we consider a holistic multidisciplinary approach to predict or identify potential future elite players. We are approaching player selection & recruitment by scientific evidence; rather than coaches subjective preconceived notion of the ideal player which result in repetitive misjudgments in player’s identification processes & lacks consistency.

If you can not measure it, you can not improve it.

Recruitment Process

Recruitment is the bread and butter of Idsoccer. We do our best but we also make mistakes. That’s the crux of recruitment – it’s not about being right all the time, it’s about being less & less wrong. You can never be 100% certain when signing a player as there are so many variables, but our job is to minimize the risk.

Our new approach in recruiting is nationwide (Greece) & furthermore global. Instead of recruiting players locally, we take advantage of our trial events to sign professional contracts with international players.

Our aim is to provide to our partner clubs, through our football trials, footballers capable to create or score goals. We focus on creative footballers with exceptional character, hungry to play football & ready to sacrifice a lot of things in their personal life.

The Challenges

You will encounter a range of challenges, like playing in different positions, when transitioning from youth or academy to senior professional sport. More precisely, these strains refer to the athletic, social, psychological, organizational & environmental aspects on-and-off the field. This highlights the difficult pathway for young footballers when endeavoring to reach the promised land of elite football.

There is no more room for romanticism & amateurism. You should be a world class performer that get paid according to your performance, the attraction you generate among the general public & to the value you can create.

The development of genuine expertise requires struggle, sacrifice & honest, often painful self-assessment. There are no shortcuts. It will take you at least a decade to achieve expertise & you will need to invest that time wisely by engaging in practice that focuses on tasks beyond your current level of competence & comfort (deliberate practice). It entails considerable, specific & sustained efforts to do something you can’t do well—or even at all.

Practice deliberately but also think deliberately

Goal Is Expensive

Every year, in pre-season, we hear the same words: “the goal is expensive. You can not train players for it. Either you have it or not. If you do not have it, you have to pay for it”.

While this statement is simple – as most important things in our life – it is also a hard truth. Remember it in each trial day. This is what a football director or coach is looking for & is willing to pay.

We already know, as a company, that several thorough analysis provide evidence of a strong correlation between the revenues of a club & the on-field performance of the team. But there is also evidence of a strong correlation between the wage expenditure & the performance.

Next time you will ask us to represent you & start a negotiation with an interested club remember the correlation between your performance & club revenue. And, keep in mind that your performance is earning contracts. Not we.

Your contract can have a “decent salary” or “the square root of zero”.

Our Agenda

The secret agenda for our work is identifying promising footballers & provide them a trustworthy – not easy at all – path.

To give a competitive advantage to our partnered clubs by developing a talent pool of high potential & high performing footballers through a secure trial path.

We are able to identify the better footballers earlier than our competitors. How? By Finding alternative, innovative & less costly “channels”, like football trials, for advance recognition of promising athletes with the potential to excel in football.

Partner clubs… are able to sustain lower investments for development & training programs & therefore grant a competitive edge.

International Footballers… who are struggling to enter professional football can grab the opportunity, through our football trials in Greece & follow a secure path to the top.

It’s up to the clubs & footballers to both enter this well-trodden path & succeed.

Football Trials Tips

Does it seems like anything you do doesn’t work? While for lower leagues, physicals are most important, what does it take to succeed in a football trial & enter professional football?

More than 90% of recruits will receive the devastating news that they just aren’t good enough for a career at the top of the game. There are a lot of young potential stars out there & very few places to be filled.

Most coaches aren’t looking for raw talent. You’re going to need it but the people in the know are looking for something else too... character & a few other things briefly mentioned below.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to succeed, you’ve got to give yourself the best possible chance of being spotted

No Excuses For Our Football Trials

Correct Mindset

Being on trial is a mental test. Approach it with positive thinking. Managers are not trying to prove you aren’t good enough. They are on your side. They love finding raw diamonds. No need to do something special like dribble past ten men. Enjoy the challenge & play to your strengths

Remember: You will be judged on your overall performance & not just one or two highlights

Positive Mental Attitude

Support your teammates selflessly. Encourage them. Pay respectful attitude towards everybody on & off the field. You’re here to play football. That’s what you do best. Don’t forget that. If it doesn’t work out first time around, simply dust your boots off & get back on. Once you succeed, don't stop. Move forward again

Remember: Be humble in triumph as in disappointment. Learn from your mistakes. Mistakes are great. Smile & Have Fun

Play to your strengths

Thinking about how to get rid of your weaknesses? What if you turn things around & focus on your strengths instead? You can’t be good at everything.

"Strengths are not activities you’re good at, they’re activities that strengthen you. A strength is an activity that before you’re doing it you look forward to doing it; while you’re doing it, time goes by quickly & you can concentrate; after you’ve done it, it seems to fulfill a need of yours.” says Marcus Buckingham (an author & a strength strategist)

Remember: Forget Your Weaknesses. Communicate all these signals saying "I’m here & I’m ready to be a professional footballer"

Be physically prepared

Get yourself into the best physical shape possible. Before tryout put yourself through the pain barrier with a variety of long distance runs, speed work & technical drills. Show the coach that you have great fitness. Prove of being physically fit enough to play football at a high tempo for 90 minutes

Remember: There is simply no excuse not to be. You will be significantly decrease your chances of success in our football trials by playing competitive football only for 50 - 60 minutes

Awareness

Listen & concentrate to coaches instructions. Stay alert to what’s happening all over the pitch. Have your head up & scan the field. Make mental pictures of where opponents & teammates are. Get the best position with/without the ball. Adapt to difficult situations & provide creative solutions. Be vocal. Be loud. Be a leader

Remember: You can significantly increase your chances of success in football by narrowing your focus on what you are great at.

Never give up

People pay keen attention to negative information. People remember four negative memories for every positive one. Don't. An antique watch is priceless at antique shops & worthless in modern shops. Keep going until you find the club which can evaluate your true abilities & fulfill your expectations.

Experts are always made, not born. Go all the way... NEVER GIVE UP

Remember: Football is an opinion game. Everybody has one
